Bizweni Centre For Children With Disabilities

Bizweni is an educational day care centre in the Western Cape for children aged 2-18 years old living with physical and intellectual disabilities. They are the only facility in the surrounding community that provides this specialized care. Each child is assessed by a specialist and receives an individual education plan. Bizweni also provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy as well as a music program, nutritional support, and transport to and from the center. -
Blue Hills Probation Hostel and Remand Home
Donate nowEstablished in 1959, Blue Hills provides residential care and rehabilitation to male children aged 10–18 who are destitute, neglected, or in conflict with the law. With animal husbandry and horticulture programs as cornerstones of its vocational skills curriculum, Blue Hills produces alumni who successfully reintegrate into society and pursue higher education across Zimbabwe. Currently serving 25 of its 60-child capacity, the institution is seeking resource mobilisation partnerships to bridge gaps and extend its skills-centred, transformative care to every child it is mandated to serve. Blue Hills is raising $20,000 to support this vital work, and your support will help empower more children to achieve their potential.

The Butterfly Art Project trains and mentors Community Art Facilitators (CAFs) to provide psychosocial support through art therapeutic classes to children in communities of the Western Cape, KwaZulu Natal, Gauteng, and Northern Cape. CAFs’ therapeutic art classes help children to stabilise by developing healthy coping mechanisms for processing stress and healing from trauma. -

$11,146 was raised to expand the Community Cancer Awareness and Screening Initiative, bringing lifesaving early detection and support services to vulnerable communities.

To strengthen the safety net of care, Cáritas also equips caregivers and guardians with sustainable farming skills, start-up capital, and improved housing and sanitation through the construction of homes and latrines. By addressing both immediate needs and long-term resilience, the organisation ensures families can build stability and hope for the future.
Funds raised will go towards expanding Cáritas programmes in Gaza Province, funding food support and farming inputs for vulnerable children and their caregivers.

Chiedza
Read moreSince 2001, Chiedza has supported vulnerable children and young people affected by HIV and AIDS in Harare South and rural Zvimba, Zimbabwe. Through their proven four-pillar model – enrolment, retention, completion, and employability – they provide second-chance education and vocational training to children who are out of school, giving at least 300 learners each year the opportunity to return to learning and rebuild their futures.
Their holistic approach extends beyond academics, providing health and nutrition support, child protection services, and economic strengthening for caregivers — addressing the root causes that prevent children from attending school.
