Manhinga Village Children's Home
Zimbabwe
Manhinga Village Children's Home successfully closed its Remit Hope fundraising project in November 2025. The home , founded in 1982 and officially registered in 1987, is a Residential Child Care Institution run by the Apostolic Faith Mission Church in Zimbabwe in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare. It provides holistic care to vulnerable children aged 1 to 24, offering safety, education, and life skills in a nurturing, family-style environment. To enhance sustainability and improve child nutrition, the Home exceeded its $10,000 fundraising target - reaching $19,560. This went to income-generating projects; specifically potato and butternut farming and a layer poultry unit. These initiatives were intended to boost food security and generate income to support the ongoing care and development of children in residential care. The support received has helped build a future of dignity, opportunity, and hope for Zimbabwe's most vulnerable children.
