Emthunzini Wethemba Children’s Home
Founded in 1996 by Rev Envoy David and Margret Ndoda (Salvationists), Emthunzini Wethemba Children’s Home is a welfare registered, faith-based organization dedicated to providing a safe haven for disadvantaged children through shelter, food, education, and psychosocial support services.
We are seeking $9,900 to strengthen our impact through three critical projects: installation of solar energy to power the borehole and provide reliable lighting, establishment of income-generating initiatives such as poultry, vegetable gardening, and an orchard to ensure both food security and sustainability, and renovation of our deteriorating infrastructure to create a safer, more dignified living environment for the children.

For over two decades, SEVACA has provided school fees, food aid, and emotional support to orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs), and is now shifting focus toward skills development and sustainable livelihoods as these children transition into adulthood. To support this next phase, SEVACA is launching a $10,500 Chicken Project that will offer hands-on poultry farming training, create a sustainable source of nutrition and income for vulnerable youth and their caregivers, and strengthen community resilience to poverty and food insecurity. Your support will help SEVACA establish a small-scale poultry unit and continue its mission of building dignity, opportunity, and resilience in remote Chiredzi.

Heather Chimhoga Orphan Care’s (HCOC) services ensure that children remain in school and have access to nutritional support, health, and psychosocial services. HCOC runs a child-friendly clinic and school-based feeding program, offers scholarships to vulnerable children and provides psychosocial and livelihoods support in the rural district of Murehwa.
