Zawadi Fund International (ZFI) is a US-based non-profit organization established in 2009 to support the Children and Youth Empowerment Centre (CYEC) and affiliated programs in Kenya. The CYEC, located in Nyeri, is a residential and educational program for street-dwelling children and other highly vulnerable young people in Kenya. The term ‘Zawadi’ is Swahili for ‘gift’, symbolizing the organization’s mission to develop the gifts of each child for the betterment of their community.
