Campaign Story
Houtberg childcare centre is situated twenty-five kilometres south of the Chipinge Town. It is a voluntary organization situated on a farm and hence heavily relies on agricultural activity. The organization was established in January 1997 to offer a home to orphaned, abused, or neglected children. The aim of the organization is to offer, where possible, training and skills development in areas such as carpentry and sewing. They also work to aid the physical, moral, and mental development of the children and taking care of the abused and neglected children as recommended.
Objectives
To promote child welfare
To provide shelter for the orphaned and vulnerable children
To ensure that children receive parental care, love, and guidance.
To provide necessities such as food, clothes, life skills, psycho-social support as well as grooming, children into responsible, independent equipped adults.
To provide a strong Christian base for our children facilitating children’s education and ensuring that they remain healthy.
