Zimbabwe National Moot Court Team (Ideas Matter Academy)

Founded in 2021 under Ideas Matter Academy, the Zimbabwe National Moot Court Team is a registered youth development initiative that uses law and advocacy to empower high-school learners—especially girls and students from public schools—with legal literacy, civic awareness, and ethical leadership skills. In 2022, Zimbabwe made history as the first African nation to win both the European and International Moot Court Championships, proving that brilliance from underserved schools can thrive on the world stage when opportunity meets preparation.

This campaign seeks to raise $30,000 to enable nine students and three coaches to represent Zimbabwe at the 2025 International Moot Court World Championships in Romania, while expanding impact locally through free provincial legal literacy workshops and the creation of Legal Societies in schools nationwide. Funds will cover travel, visas, accommodation, safeguarding, training, and materials, as well as facilitation and starter kits for new Legal Societies.

Your support will help raise a generation of ethical young leaders who use law to strengthen justice and serve their communities with integrity.
