Zara’s Centre is a community-based organisation established in 2007 to support orphaned and vulnerable children affected by AIDS and the challenging socio-economic conditions in Zimbabwe. The centre provides daily care, nutritious meals, education support, and life skills to 125 low-income children in Bulawayo, creating a safe and nurturing environment where they can grow, learn, and thrive.
Through this campaign, Zara’s Centre seeks to raise $10,000 to strengthen its vegetable and poultry project and achieve food self-sufficiency. The funds will support the installation of 2,000m of drip irrigation, the establishment of a 280-layer chicken project, and the construction of a seedling shed and greenhouse to ensure a reliable year-round supply of fresh vegetables and quality seedlings.
Your support will help ensure a consistent supply of nutritious food, providing an egg a day and at least 100kg of vegetables each month for every child, while equipping them with essential agricultural and life skills for a more sustainable future.
